Episode 6: Battle of the Egg Base! Cleona vs. Eggman

It's spring break! And I've finished the sixth episode...my record for most episodes done in a week is two. Let's see if I can break it with UNSonic chapter 7!!

The night time sky, cloudy and misty, was only beheld in the Robotropolis Egg Base, which overshadowed Creecreeopolis. Inside one of the buildings, Nathan was being tied up by Cylinderhead. Cleona looked on.

"What do we do now, master?"

"We wait, and you'll search this base for that fat man. He has to return sometime."

"Right!" Cylinderhead burst out of the building.

"Right." Cleona took out a phone. "In the meantime, I have a call to make."

In the red light, one of the shadows picked up.

"Hello?" Cleona's voice came on. "Master? Is that you?"

"Fraid not, Cleona." A new voice entered Cleona's ears. "How's your little fiasco going?"

"You?!" Cleona jumped back. "Why are you answering this, Melana!"

"Oh, Mahjong told me to man the communications, that's all."

"What?!" Cleona protested. "You can't man them unless..." Her voice became silent.

"That's right." Melana chuckled. "You only have one chance. Be lucky Majhong is even letting you live this long. We saw your poor performance this afternoon, and if you don't do something then your head will no longer be attached to your shoulders. Ta ta, Cleona."

She hung up, leaving Cleona on the phone, in shock about what just happened.

"No..." She staggered. "I've been displaced as leader...?" Her hands clenched as she growled. "That fat man...it's all his fault!!" She scrunched her hands even harder, and blood started to come from the openings. "This does it! I'm ending this now! No more fat man in my way!!"

In Haruka and Michiru's apartment, Eggman steadily held his laser to them, giving grunts of joy. Haruka's arm was in front of a pale Michiru. Her eyes were angered.

"What are you doing?" she demanded. "I'll call the police on you, you maniac!"

"A noble thought, young lady," Eggman laughed. "if I already hadn't disconnected the phone lines. See, I've got you licked. Or," he gave a little shrug, "if you use your little communicator you might get Tails. But I wouldn't suggest it. The meddlesome hedgehog seems to be disgruntled with you."

Michiru gasped. Haruka clenched her fists.

"What do you want, Eggman?"

"Oh," sneered Eggman, "I want nothing, Haruka...or should I say Uranus? Heheh...Don't give me that surprised look, I knew this whole time. Why else would you be hanging around Tails? What other reason unless you were there to protect them? I see that you're here to displace the hedgehog, am I right?"

"That's not right, Eggman!" Michiru shouted. "And you'd better leave, or else we-"

"You'll what?" Eggman's was still pointed at them. "I can shoot you while you're transforming, so don't try anything! Hmmm..." Eggman's mouth gave a twisted smile. "What should I do with you two? In your hero forms you could

make wonderful robots...then again, I prefer you," at this he motioned at Michiru, "in the lovely form you're in now! Ooooh my feet are tingling-"

At that moment, his hologram communicator buzzed.

"Dammit!" he cursed as he took it out. "Why does it have to always go off when I'm languishing victory?! It always happens!" He cocked his gun at the two. "And don't you try anything. I can still dispatch you, and there won't even be anything left of you with this little laser!"

"Little?" Haruka muttered. "If that's small...I hate to see what he thinks is big."

"We should at least transform." whispered Michiru. "Since he knows who we are-"

"No." Haruka's reply surprised Michiru. "He's expecting us to do that. I can feel it."

"Right." Michiru looked out the window.

Eggman took out his communicator and turned it on. Suddenly, a hologram of Cleona appeared.

"Good evening, fat man."

"WHAT?!" Eggman angrily roared. "What is this?!"

"It is my pleasure to announce that control of the newly christened Robotropolis Egg Base and all of its resources and robots have been transferred from its previous owner, a certain bumbling wannabe fatso rocket scientist by the name of Eggman, whose inventions are the laughingstock of Moebius, to me, the beautiful and talented, not to mention invincible, Cleona, leader of the Card Sharks!"

"HOW DARE YOU!!!" Eggman screamed. "YOU LITTLE SLUT!!!"

"Is it that girl?" Michiru was amused by the doctor's anger.

"It must be." Haruka tried not to chuckle.

"However," the hologram continued. "I am a sporting girl, and I'm giving the previous owner of the Egg Base one chance to reclaim his city. If he so wishes to take me up on my offer, he is to meet me near the control center of his precious creation in one hour. We will...discuss the terms and arrangements to be made." The hologram gave an evil smile. "Of course, if he does not comply I will consider him as not wanting his city, and I will blow it to bits, along with the hostage that I have recently aquired."

"Grrrrrrrrrrrr......" Eggman's face was beet red.

"Have a good night. And remember, one hour."

The hologram disappeared from the screen. On the other side of Creecreeopolis, the message had been intercepted.

"Did you hear that, boss?" a group of shadows was gathered around a table. "They're striking a deal with Eggman's floating city!"

"It's a trap." Another shadow implored. "They're going to kill Eggman. I say we, the Freedom Fighters, just let it be."

"No." the obvious leader of the group replied. "As the leader of all of you, I believe we should consider this a grave problem, one that must be dealt with by the groups of we are to banish either Eggman or this new threat from the city forever."

"Sir," one of the shadows stood up. "As the deputy of the Affiliates, I want to suggest some of my men to get rid of the problem, or to investigate.

Whichever comes first, sir."

"Very well." The leader waved their hand. "Do what you must. Dismissed."

"SHIT!!!!" Eggman crushed his hologram communicator angrily. "That bitch!!! She won't get away with this!!"

He went to the main door and was about to leave. Before he left, however, he turned to the girls.

"I'll deal with you fools later!!" He slammed the door angrily. Seconds later, they saw the hovercraft as it flew out of sight.

"We have to follow him." Haruka took out her pen. "Whatever happened, it must be about that girl, and it might lead us to Nathan!"

"Let's go, Haruka!" Michiru took out her pen as well.

At the Magic Cups shop, Manic's phone rang.

"Hot damn!" Manic muttered as he was awoken from his sleep. "Can't a hedgehog get sleep in this town!"

He picked the phone up.

"Yeah...uh huh, this is him..." After a few minutes Manic's eyes grew wide. "What...no way... WHAT?! Right! I'm going right now!!...Oh, yeah, I'll wake her up too...yeah...haha, very funny...bye."

With that, Manic ran out of the room, slamming the door behind him.

Up in the sky, Haruka's helicopter quickly accelerated.

"We don't have much time." Uranus checked the air pressure in the cabin.

"That's for sure." Neptune checked the rotation of the rotors.

"Everything's in working order, Uranus."

"Good." The helicopter skimmed under the bottom of the ship.

"You know," Neptune looked over the city. "I wish."

"Wish what?"

"Well," Neptune looked at Uranus. "I wish that Pluto was here."

"So do I..." Uranus quietly contemplated their partner's fate. She shook her head. "It doesn't matter here, doesn't matter now. She's gone. Dead. And there is nothing that we can do about it."

"I know..." Neptune replied. "But I sometimes wish that she was still here."

The helicopter passed by a small red device. It blinked as the helicopter passed by it.

Meanwhile, the helicpoter was spotted by Cylinderhead.

"Ah ha..." the monster went down to the bottom of the ship. "The soldiers!"

She flew until she had the helicopter in her sights. She took her hands and blasted at the helicopter. The attack smashed into its side.

"Ahhhhhhhh!!" The two were flown in all directions.

"We're hit!" Uranus strained her head to see that the attack had hit their engine.

"Dammit!" Neptune peeked out of her side of the cockpit. "Deep Submerge!!"

"Ha!!" Cylinderhead blasted at the water. Both attacks disintegrated at impact.

The helicopter started to slowly go down.

"No!!" Uranus screamed.

"Heheh..." Cylinderhead prepared to attack again.

As she did, however, her eye caught something in the distance. Another ball of light was carreening toward her. She laughed as she blasted at this one. This time, though, the ball dodged Cylinderhead's attack and kept on going.

"Whaaaaaaatttttt?!?!" Cylinderhead tried to dodge it, but the ball was too fast. It disintegrated her.

"Huh?!" Uranus heard Cylinderhead's screams. She turned to find the ball of light coming towards the helicopter. "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!"

The helicpoter was engulfed by the light.

At an intersection near the Egg Base's control center, Eggman waited impatiently.

"That bitch...who does she think she is?!" He took out five pellets and threw them to the ground. "These five robots will put her in her place!"

The robots materialized and waited behind him. The wait had dragged on for 20 more minutes when Eggman decided to wait in his hovercraft. His thoughts were interrupted by a blast, which barely missed killing him. He jumped up and turned around to face Cleona.

"Well, well," Cleona laughed. "So you had the balls to come! I'm surprised."

"Ha. You shouldn't be!" Eggman shook his fists at her. "I'm a scientist! Unlike you, I'll valiantly fight for my pride!"

"Pride?" Cleona smirked. "I have some of my own. You, on the other hand, deploy inferior tin men."

She snapped, and the robots suddenly exploded!

"Ahhhhhh..." Eggman couldn't believe it.

"I want you, one on one, fat man!" With that, Cleona attacked.

"Nnnnnngh..."

Nathan, unbeknownst to everyone, was busy working at the ropes that held him. The pale night sky came through the single window of that particular room.

"Come on, you bitch." Nathan was carefully sawing the ropes with his bowie knife. "You know you want to break off..."

Finally, after what seemed like forever, the ropes finally snapped.

"Yes!!" Nathan rubbed his wrists. He ran out of the room. "Don't worry, honey, I'm comin home!!"

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!!!!!" The two soldiers screamed as the light engulfed them.

"Uuuugggggghhhhh..." Neptune felt faint.

"NEPTUNE!!" Uranus screamed. The loud sound of squeaking metal could be heard from the cockpit.

As quick as the light appeared, it suddenly dinimished. The soldiers were thrown back into reality.

"Oh...oh my god..." Neptune's eyes were wide.

"What the hell..." Uranus' eyes caught the gauges. "Everything's normal."

"What?!"

"Everything, it's all..." Uranus' head peeked outside. There was no sign of the damaged engine. In fact, the entire side that had been blasted was normal and undented. "What's going on?"

"Hurry!" Neptune's radar beeped. "There's an opening that we can enter!"

"R...right." Uranus, dazed, pulled up.

On the side of the helicopter, the red butterfly held on for dear life.

"Yaaaaaaaahhhh!!!"

Cleona and Eggman's hovercraft threw themselves at each other, trying to throw each other to the ground. They blasted each other, demolishing the city as they went.

"Fat man!!" Cleona threw a blast of light at him. "Take this!!"

"Weaken!" Eggman blasted the light. It fell to the ground, bouncing harmlessly into the distance.

"Damn you!!!"

"Now," Eggman readjusted his laser. "Here's a good dose of medicine for the naughty little girl!!"

His laser fired a huge blast of gamma energy. Cleona caused a shield to materialize, and it absorbed the matter.

"What!!!"

"I can play the same game, fat man!" Cleona laughed. "I guess that we're at an impass."

From behind Eggman, a sharp edged crystal slowly formed. Behind Cleona an air mine ticked down to zero.

"Maybe I should surrender."

"The only thing I will accept is your death!" Eggman laughed.

"And I'll only accept the same from you." Cleona's hand flit.

Eggman's eye caught the crystal flying towards him, but before he could do anything to him it stabbed him in the shoulder. He gave a screech.

"Hahahahahahahahahahaha!!!" Cleona laughed. "Nothing can stop me now!!"

"World Shaking!!"

Cleona was hit in the side by the attack. She was thrown off, but she regained her balance as she turned to face the two soldiers, her eyes flashing.

"Well, well." Cleona's teeth clenched. "Only fools like you would have come up here, eh?"

"As much as Eggman is feared and reviled in this world," the two stood back-to-back, "the people of this city would rather have him than a slimy reptile like you!"

"For elegance, Sailor Neptune!"

"For magnificence, Sailor Uranus!"

"In the name of our planets, we won't forgive you!"

"Heheh..." Cleona laughed. "I have something for you two."

Two more crystals came up from the ground and attacked them. Neptune's hair was partially sliced off, and Uranus' glove was opened up; however, neither of them were hurt seriously as they jumped away from the crystals.They fell to the ground as Cleona floated over them. They tried to jump up, but found that the ground was turned into sticky glue, leaving them incapable of movement.

"That's just a taste," Cleona gave them an evil smile. "Of what I'll do to you. In the meantime, stay out. I want to deal with the fat man, and you're not going to stop me!"

With that, Cleona went over to Eggman, who was nursing his injury.

Meanwhile, just blocks away, Nathan was panting as he ran.

"All of those explosions..." Nathan looked ahead. "Those crazy girls! What are they..."

Suddenly, he tripped over a wire. He fell flat on his face.

"Oww!!" He turned around. "What the..."

He looked, then squinted, then jumped back.

"HOLY SHIT!!!!"

"This will be for all the problems you've caused me!" Cleona took her hands and held them up. A huge ball of energy sizzled in her hands. "My failures, and for hurting my arm! Double Atom..."

Suddenly, another laser blast ripped through her stomach. Cleona screamed in agony, and she lost her balance. She fell to the ground.

"Haha, someone got you..." Eggman's taunt was interrupted by a noise. He turned around to see the floating mine just as it detonated.

Uranus and Neptune's bonds were broken by the explosion. They were thrown several yards before landing on their sides. They looked to see Eggman's hovercraft, with a screaming Eggman in it, flying at immeasurable speeds in the other direction until it was out of sight.

"Oh my god!!"

"Yeah!!!" A new voice came to their ears. They jumped up to see none other than Manic and Sonia, all decked out in military clothing, giveing each other a high five. "We did it!!"

"I don't believe this..." Nathan, who was with them, was shaking his head. "My bosses are Freedom Fighters..."

"Yay, Sonia, we got him!!" Manic proceeded to hug Sonai, only to be clubbed.

"Okay." Sonia stood over him. "That's going to far."

"B-but..."

"No buts, little man!!" Sonia turned to see the stunned soldiers. "Oh dear, I guess we've been seen..."

Suddenly, out of the explosion, Cleona appeared. Her body was splattered red, and a huge part of it was in her stomach area, where her clothes were completely ripped.. Her eyes burned red, and her haired was almost singed off. Everybody saw her and jumped back.

"My god... Sonia cocked her laser. "Get ready Manic..."

Instead of attacking them, however, Cleona clenched her fists and screamed.

"FFAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTT MAAAAAAAAAAAAANN!!!!!" Her scream was almost like an animal roar.

In a powerful fury, she rocketed off in the direction Eggman went.

"No!!" Uranus was restrained by Neptune. "We can't follow them."

"Why? Who knows what will happen now?!"

"It's the end of our part with her." Neptune looked as the bloodied Cleona disappeared. "This chapter with our enemy is out of our hands..."

Up in the sky, the red butterfly fluttered into the distance.
