Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon HYBRID Presents: UNSonic
Episode 2: A Powerful Enemy! We're Headed for Creecreeopolis!!

Hey, this is a great crossover! I'm amazing myself...so far. Who knows what will happen in later chapters? I do, sort of... :) Anyways, here's the second chapter! I hope you enjoy it!!

-Jessica

The sun shined in the bright sky the next day. In one of the rooms in Rotor's lab, Tails opened his eyes and stretched.

"What a beautiful dream that was..." he closed his eyes again. "It seemed so real."

His mind flashed back to the dream. He had dreamed of his superhero, flying in the air at night, his identity shrouded by the moonlight. Tails had flied after him, hoping to catch him.

"Wait! Come back!!" he had shouted. "Why are you running away? Aren't you the superhero from the shooting comet?"

The shadowed superhero only turned to him for a brief moment, then started to fly again.

"Wait!" Tails had followed him to the sea, upon which danced hundreds of shades of blue and green. "Wow," he had thought. "I'm so far away from the Clover Belt, all the way to the sea. It's so tranquil here, maybe my superhero wants to be here?"

His superhero reappeared over the sea, gesturing him to come closer.

"Onto the water? But..." Tails had been afraid. "I can't. I don't have power."

"It's all right," his superhero had said in a soft voice that seemed too delicate to be that of a man's. "The power of the sea can let you do anything. Walk towards me."

Tails took a step, and saw that he could walk on the water. "Wow!" he had called to the superhero at that point. "Don't worry, I'll be right there..."

But as he ran, a light flashed and he had woken up.

"I'm still confused..." Birds were chirping outside. "Why didn't he reveal himself last night? Is it because those monsters were after him? This is already getting really strange..."

------------------------------------

"Tails seems overcome," Rotor commented. "Maybe that fight last night has made him sober."

"Naaah, Tails is still having the delusion of the superhero." Sonic crossed his arms. "He is just a kid, after all, he tends to believe fancy legends like that."

"That wouldn't be a good thing to repeat to people in this place." Rotor took a slab of marmalade and spread it on his bread. "A lot of people are very into it. Some of the older ones have claimed to have been saved by the superheroes of the comets."

"And...what do you think of this?" Sonic was slightly amused.

"Me? I'm a scientist." Rotor took a bite of his sandwich. "But even so, with everything science has to offer, some strange unexplained things seem to happen that defy what I do. I guess I'm neutral."

"Well, I think its crap." Sonic ate his ham sandwich. "If you can't show me, then I won't believe it. Besides, I have better things to do with my time than to listen to midwives folk tales, like keeping Eggman from destroying Moebius."

Before Rotor could respond, a frantic puppy suddenly burst in.

"Help!! Help!!" It ran around the room incessantly. "Eggman...he's... heeeeeellllppppp!!!"

The puppy fell to the floor and started wimpering. Rotor and Sonic looked at each other.

"Uhh, are you okay?" Sonic was confused.

"NO!!! Eggman...he's...heeeeeeeeeeeellllllllpppp!!!"

"Eggman's what?" Rotor scratched the puppy's ear. "Calm down."

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh..."

By the time Rotor had finished calming the poor puppy down, a half-hour had passed.

"Now, tell us what's wrong."

"Eggman..." the puppy drew his breath and looked at his paw, which was scribbled with writing. "We got a thing from a big city reporting that Eggman was setting up a base there!! He might be using it to shut down the Clover Belt's industry to that city, cutting us off from the outside world and destroying that city!"

The two gasped.

"Which city, big guy?" Sonic asked.

"Uuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhh..." the puppy looked at his hand in confusion. "I can't read it. My mommy put it on the dark part of my hand."

"Do you remember if your mommy had said the name of the city or not?"

"Uuuh... kind of...but it's hard to pronounce," the puppy admitted.

"Ok then..."

Rotor slid over to a computer and punched in a few letters. A map of the Clover Belt appeared.

"Are there a lot of big cities in this part of Moebius?" asked Sonic.

"No, not really, but they're all hard to pronounce, so more power to the kid if he knows which one we're looking for."

Rotor punched in another set of letters, and six dots appeared.

"Did your mom say...Muzzlepuniopolis?"

"N..nooooo..."

"Well, how about...Zinkeniloconotiopolis?

"No, it started with a c."

"Well then," Rotor said. "It was Crecreeopolis. Right?"

"Yeah!!!" The puppy brightened up. "That's the city my mommy said he was in! Creecreeopolis!!"

"What's so big about Creecreeopolis?" asked Sonic.

"That's were the Clover Congress is."

"Clover Congress?"

"The law of the land. Well, our part of the land, at least."

The map disappeared from the screen. Rotor stood up.

"If Eggman is there, it might be that he wants to blackmail the Congress into giving him the Clover Belt."

"Well!!" Sonic jumped up. "We can't allow that to happen, can we! I'm getting Tails and we're out of here!!"

"Wait!" Rotor objected. "I want to come too."

"But you're a scientist, right?" Sonic replied. "Your place is in the lab!"

"Even so," Rotor was already packing a bunch of devices into a bag, "I feel that I should go. You might encounter resistance, and it might not exactly be Eggman, know what I mean?"

"Oh...fine!!" Sonic sighed. "Fine, you can come with us..."

Within a few minutes, everything was ready, and the three travelers were saying goodbye to the citizens of Knothole.

"Be careful," Bunnie warned Rotor. "You never know what Fatty might have up his sleeve!"

"With all due respect, Bunnie," Rotor swung his bag over his shoulder,

"That's not the enemy I'm prepared for. But, thanks anyway."

"Huh?" Bunnie was confused.

"We're outties!!" A snap of wind blasted the village, and Sonic, Tails and Rotor were gone.

On top of a tree, the two figures watched.

"We should follow them," the first one said.

"Right," the second one agreed.

------------------------------------

In the red light in space, the shadow held a crystal. An image of the three freedom fighters appeared within it.

"So...these are the little children who were helped by my enemies." The shadow looked at the female figure. "Take monsters and attack them. Those two must be somewhere nearby."

"Yes, master." The female figure bowed. "Leave it to me, and my monsters!" She disappeared.

In another dark room, tubes stood straight to the ceiling. Suddenly the tubes shattered, and large masses appeared, making noises as they disappeared from sight.

------------------------------------

"Well!!" Rotor clung to Sonic. "This is bitchin'!!"

They sped down a road and entered a large clearing.

"Hey, Sonic!!" Tails, flying, panted behind him. "When are-"

"The road to Creecreeopolis!" Sonic turned to Rotor. "What's the most direct and shortest route?"

"If you go left on the road that comes up," Rotor replied, "you can get there in less than an hour!"

"Sonic..."

"Ok, then!" Sonic revved his sneakers up. "Juice time!"

He sped so fast, Tails couldn't keep up, and the poor kid had to stop.

"Sonic!!!" he screamed, but Sonic, by that time, was too far away to hear him. He gave a sigh. "Oh well...I was going to tell him that I had to go pee, but I guess I'll just go on the side of the road."

He looked around to see if he could find a tree, but all there was to use was the ground and some bushes nearby.

"Oh, man!" Tails huffed as he went into the bushes. "I hope no one sees me doing this! It would be so embarrassing!!"

Nearby, three shadows slowly approached him.

"Is that him?" one of them asked. "Is he one of them?"

"Yes." One of the shadows was the female figure. "I want you to kill him, or try to. You might die because of others who might be following him, but you will still have contributed greatly!"

"Master! Will the others come back for him?" the second unknown shadow shifted.

"Naturally they will. They would never abandon him..." The female figure gave an evil smile. "Right?"

"What do you mean?"

"You'll see." The female figure disappeared.

"Well," the two figures looked at each other. "We heard her. Let's bait him!!"

------------------------------

The female figure reappeared behind Sonic and Rotor, who just realized that Tails was gone.

"Crap!" Sonic looked around. "We'll have to go back for him."

The figure took out a handful of almonds as she looked at Sonic. "The taste of almonds are bitter," she said to herself. "Too many are supposedly bad for you. I know that your friend saw them..." she crumbled the nuts until they were as fine as dust. "I know how I can do this...those enemies are performing to the letter."

With that, she threw the almond dust into the air. Sonic gave a little sneeze.

"Then let's go." Rotor pointed. "He was still in that field where we left him."

"Right." Sonic sped away in the direction Rotor pointed to. As he left, the female figure chuckled.

---------------------------------

"Give it up, little boy!" The two shadows stood before him. "We're here to take you."

Tails was leaned against a tree. His arm was cut, and his mouth was bleeding. He started to fly away.

"You're not getting away that easily!" one of the shadows leaped up and snagged his tail. Tails fell down to the ground. "You're quick but not quick enough for us!"

"You're right, sister." Another barrage of blasts came from the other shadow. Tails dodged them but was thrown back even more by the last blast.

"This little brat is too much fair game for us. Probably doesn't even taste good. The master should have given us a better person to look for."

They both laughed at this. Tails tried to get back on his feet, but it was too much for him. He collapsed and passed out.

"My," the first shadow clapped her hands. "Orina, dear sister, this is fun! When will those others come?"

"They're coming right now, Aniro." The second shadow laughed. "I can't wait! They looked so delicious..."

"That's good," a voice behind them replied. The two turned around to face

Sonic. "Because I won't forgive you for hurting my friend!"

"His friend? We're so shocked." The two shadows laughed. "So you want to fight us?"

"Whenever you're ready." Sonic's fists were clenched.

On the other side of the road, Rotor was cocking a large laser.

"Just a little closer, you two..." he thought.

"Let's go!!" the two jumped up. Sonic jumped up as well.

"Uggghh..." Tails began to wake up.

Sonic met them head on. The two started to activate their powers, but Sonic was too quick, and he kicked them hard with a sweeping roundhouse. They crashed to the ground and tried to get up again. Orina blasted at Sonic as well, but he dodged the attack and did a Sonic Spin as he slammed into the demon. Orina flew into a bush, landing with a hard thump.

"Now," Sonic turned to face Aniro, "you still want to fight me?"

"Fool!" Aniro blasted him. Sonic dodged this attack as well, and he landed behind her.

"Is that the best you can do?" Sonic laughed. "And I thought you were strong or something."

"Only someone like you would think that, you being one of those freedom fighters." Aniro's eyes flashed. "You know nothing of the true nature of warfare!"

"I live to fight evil!" Sonic replied. "What's you excuse?"

Behind Sonic, Orina started to wake up. She saw him standing with his back towards her, and so she started to slowly and quietly move closer to him. Aniro noticed, and she gave a smile while she talked.

"You are nothing to us, hedgehog." Aniro put her hands on her hips. "You may be faster than me or my sister, but we are much smarter and wiser than you could ever be."

"Oh?" Sonic was amused. "Says who?"

Rotor's eye caught the demon behind Sonic. "Shit!"

"I trashed your sister, and I can trash you too."

"Really?" Aniro's smile became dangerously wide. "We shall see."

Sonic heard a noise behind him. He turned around to see Orina flying head-on into him, her teeth bared as they sunk into Sonic's arm. She then threw him into the bushes, letting out a loud roar as she did so.

"What a fool!" Aniro laughed. "It seems he has forgotten that there are two of us and one of him. Pity. I hope my sister enjoys him, rotted meat thought he is." She started to walk towards the bush, where hands and blood and hair was flying all around. "Maybe I should join in the fu-"

Her sentence was interrupted by a hard kick into her face. She was thrown to the ground by the force of the blow.

"There's actually two of us, crazy lady!"

"What!?" Aniro sputtered as blood started to splat from her mouth. "How

could..."

Tails landed on the ground.

"I'm a freedom fighter too," he replied. "For someone with so much power you forgot that the unexpected attack is always most effective. Sonic always told me that."

"You little prick!" Aniro spat. "I won't let you get away with kicking me like that! Aniro Analysis Annihilate!"

A ball of black appeared in her hands, and she threw it at the fox with some considerable force. Tails dodged it, sticking his tongue out as he did.

"Damn you!" Aniro clenched her fists.

Meanwhile, Orina was still tackling Sonic.

"Hold still!" she commanded. "I won't be able to get any good tenderloins of you if you don't!"

"If anyone's...going to take any...thing...off my person...in any fashion..."

Sonic struggled, "It isn't going...to be taken...by...some...eating my fingers!"

"Oh, but your fingers look so moist."

"Wacko!!" Sonic took the moment of weakness to kick her off. His arm was starting to bleed more profusely as he jumped across the road.

"Oh, no you don't, little hedgehog!!" Orina flew after him.

She jumped into the cevice, landing in a small pile of mud. She bent down and quietly crawled, searching for her prey. Suddenly, she caught a glimpse of it in the bushes.

"Got him!" she thought as she jumped into the bush.

Meanwhile, Aniro finally managed to catch Tails off his guard. As he had swung around to dodge one blast, the demon played unfair by blasting him again, this time hitting him in the butt. It sent him falling to the ground with a thud.

"Finally!" Aniro jumped on Tails, her legs over each of his sides so that he couldn't escape. "So you're the one who saw the superheroes, eh..."

"What?!" Tails gasped, only to be muzzled by Aniro's hands.

"Shut up!" Her eyes were glowing. "We know all about what you saw. There's no use hiding it. They must like you for them to have revealed themselves. So there's no other alternative..."

A scream detracted Aniro's attention from the fox. Suddenly, another blast from the other side of the road could be seen, followed by another scream.

"What!?" Aniro jumped up. "That sounded like...it couldn't be..."

Rotor's laser barrel smoked from the blast. "Well," Rotor said cheerfully, "That worked better than I thought. The third version of my super atomic smasher."

"Woah." Sonic's eyes were wide. "That thing is huge."

"Yeah, but it can also retract to become a pistol. See?" The laser suddenly caved into itself, leaving nothing but a normal-sized gun.

"That's nice. But next time, please tell me that something is behind me..."

"Damn them!" Aniro screamed. "They killed my sister! They'll pay for this!!"

Throwing Tails aside, she jumped up and threw herself at them. Letting out a bloodcurdling roar, she bared her teeth in a rage. The noise sent shock waves throughout the area, causing some trees to crack and fall. As the sound reverberated, Sonic and Rotor covered their ears.

"Wow!" Sonic looked up. "That girl!"

"Oh, no!" Rotor cried out. "She's coming out for us!"

"Right!" Sonic nodded. "We're out!"

Sonic started to rev up. Suddenly, his legs and arms cramped up.

"What?!" Sonic tried to move. "I'm not moving!"

"Don't worry!" Rotor promised. "I'll get her!"

"Hurry!" Sonic looked panicked. "Before she comes again! I can't feel my legs!"

Rotor started to move. Suddenly, he stopped. Sonic gave a moan as Aniro crashed into them, causing the two to fly onto the ground back first. They both tried to get back up but were unable to.

"Let me guess..." Sonic struggled. "That high-pitched scream she emitted...it did something, right?"

After flying into the bush, Aniro turned around to attack them again.

"Sonic!" Tails started to run towards them, only to be bounced back and forth between two invisible force fields.

"Whhaaaaaa...."

"Did?" Rotor noticed that he dropped his laser. "Doing. She's using the echo acoustics of the surrounding trees to reverberate some sort of...umm...atomic slinky, if I can call it that."

"Atomic slinky?"

"It's like a slinky if you take it and slosh it back and forth." Rotor's hand was too far away from the laser, so he decided to drop the attempt to retrieve it. "There's a hole in every slinky, as you probably know..."

Swooosh! Another attack came from Aniro. They were blasted with more energy. After screaming in pain, Rotor continued when he caught his breath.

"The difference is that the slinky is being used at the atomic level, so the only way that you'd be able to move in the right way or in any way at all you have to know where that loophole is. Since we're caught head on in this atomic slinky, we can't do anything to find the loophole."

"In other words, we're more fucked than the Sopranos."

"Well, yeah..." Rotor looked confused. "Whoever the Sopranos are."

Aniro suddenly stood over them. Rotor and Sonic looked up. "Ha!" She laughed.

"Now to destroy you once and for all!!"

"Sooooonnniiiiicccc!" Tails was being mercilessly bounced around. His face was turning green.

Aniro took out a machete. "Now that you can't move, this will be too easy..."

A light from behind her then caught her attention. She turned around, only to find a huge ball of light barreling right towards her from the bushes. She gave a scream and tried to teleport, but before she could the ball slammed into her, turning her body to ash.

"What the..." Sonic felt his arms and legs come back to sensation. "Way past!"

The two got up. "That was a little close…" Rotor noticed Sonic's arm. "That must have hurt."

"A little..." Sonic admitted.

"Wait!!" They both looked to see Tails run into the thicket. "Come back!!"

"Tails?" Sonic sprinted after him. After five minutes of searching, he found Tails leaning on a tree branch, panting. "What are you doing, running off?"

"I saw them..." Tails panted. "The superheroes! There wasn't one, there were two!"

"Taaaiils..." Sonic rolled his eyes. "Not again..."

"No, really!" Tails insisted. "The one made that ball of light that killed that weird woman...I swear, Sonic. I saw their shadows."

"Come on, Tails," Sonic wearily pointed to the clearing. "Let's get back on the road. We'll be in Creecreeopolis soon, so I hope we don't run into any more crazy people."

"Sonic!" Tails saw Sonic's arm. "You..."

"Just go." Sonic gave Tails a little push. "I'll be there with you in a sec."

"Okay." Tails' eyes were saddened. "I'll go."

As he flew off, Sonic looked around His eyes furrowed when he noticed a small path of broken branches.

"I don't know what's going on, and if there's someone out there I hope you hear me," he thought aloud. "You're not going to get away with doing this to us. I'll find out who you are, and if I have to die to make sure you don't harm my friend, I will!"

He gave the broken branches another dark glare before he heard Tails' voice calling for him. He left, but not before looking around the thicket one final time. As the three freedom fighters prepared to leave, the two shadows reappeared.

"What do you think he meant by that?" the second shadow asked.

"God only knows," the first replied. "We'll keep an eye on that hedgehog, though. I didn't like the look in his eyes."

"The wind is changing direction..." The second shadow looked up. "The fresh scent of the sea...it's pointing to that city they're going to, isn't it?"

The first shadow clenched its fists for a moment at the suggestion. The two shadows then turned around and disappeared. Tails turned to the direction of the shadows to see their silhouettes disappear.

"Sonic..."

"Yeah?"

"Nothing." Tails decided to not say anything else about the shadows. "He wouldn't believe me anyway. He doesn't believe me now," he thought.

The three - Sonic, Tails and Rotor, then set off for the rest of the journey to Creecreeopolis. As they headed for the edge of the forest, Eggman appeared in the sky over them, guffawing.

"Fools! Following me!" he laughed. "I'll give them something to remember! Hahahahahahaha!!!"

Putting his hovercraft on cruise control, he shot towards Creecreeopolis, laughing the whole way.

To be continued...
